Our work is anchored in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC)—global frameworks that affirm what we’ve always known: every girl, everywhere, has the right to learn, to be treated equally, and to rise out of poverty. These six pillars define our impact in Houston and around the world.
Pillar 1. QUALITY EDUCATION FOR EVERY GIRL

Education is not a privilege—it is a fundamental right of every child. UN-CRC Article 28 declares that every child has the right to an education, and SDG 4 calls on the world to ensure inclusive, equitable, quality education for all. Lemonade with Ice lives this commitment every day. In Houston, we provide free books, school supplies, tutoring, and free Math Workshops that build critical thinking and academic confidence. Globally, we fund school tuition for 30 orphan girls at Kritagyata Trust and support 40 orphan girls at GHAR (ages 6–18) in India. From the Mayor’s Youth Council Book Fair to our virtual math workshops, we remove every barrier standing between a girl and her classroom.

The numbers tell a sobering story: girls earn 7.7% less per hour, only 41% of STEM fields are female, and just 33% of leaders are women. SDG 5 demands we achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls—and Lemonade with Ice answers that call. Through the annual EmpowerHER Summit at The Cannon West Houston, girls gain public speaking skills, leadership training, financial literacy, and networking with accomplished women. Our Future Voices Awards celebrate young women who find their voice. Our scholarship program invests in Future Doctors, Future CEOs, Future Engineers, and Future Entrepreneurs—because when a girl sees what she can become, nothing can stop her.

Poverty is the single greatest barrier between a girl and her education. When families cannot afford tuition, books, or supplies, dreams are deferred—sometimes forever. SDG 1 calls for the end of poverty in all its forms, and we know education is the most powerful poverty-fighting tool ever created. Our scholarships alleviate financial burdens for Houston high school students pursuing higher education. In the Mulsi Area of Pune, India, we provide financial support for girls who lack it entirely. Every dollar donated to our Educating Youth fund helps families in need afford education, empowerment, and essential learning skills—transforming not just one girl’s future, but her family’s economic trajectory for generations.

This is why our mission statement declares: education for every girl “regardless of their race, ethnicity, or background.” We serve underserved communities across Houston’s diverse neighborhoods while simultaneously reaching across oceans to rural India through partners like Kritagyata Trust, Nari Samata Manch, GHAR, and the Malala Fund. Whether a girl lives in Houston, Texas or Pune, India, she deserves the same access, the same investment, and the same belief in her limitless potential.

UN-CRC Article 29 declares that education must develop every child’s “personality, talents and mental and physical abilities to their fullest potential.” Education is more than test scores—it’s the development of the whole person. This is the heart of our Innovation Marketplace, where middle and high school students showcase real innovations in environmental sustainability, community development, technology, and AI—with $2,500 in awards investing in their boldest ideas in 2026. It’s why our Entrepreneurship program (in partnership with The Village School’s Entrepreneurship Diploma) teaches students to launch real ventures. It’s why Youth Leadership brings together high-achieving students passionate about innovation, advocacy, academics, and service. We don’t just prepare girls for exams—we prepare them for life.
