Ice received the Mayor’s Volunteer Award

We are honored and grateful to share that Ice received the Mayor’s Volunteer Award from the Houston Mayor’s Office this April. Due to the busy schedule around the EmpowerHer Summit, we are sharing this special moment now — but the gratitude and honor remain just as meaningful.

This recognition from the City of Houston is truly one of the highest honors a student volunteer can receive from a city mayor, and we deeply appreciate the encouragement and acknowledgment of Ice’s work through Lemonade with Ice, supporting girls and communities in Houston and around the globe.

A heartfelt thank you to Roman Aguilera for nominating Ice, and to Ashanti for coordinating the award ceremony and inviting Ice to attend and receive this recognition in front of so many Houston city officials. It was truly a memorable and humbling experience.

This achievement would not have been possible without the incredible support of the Lemonade with Ice team, our community, mentors, families, friends, and everyone who has believed in this journey from the beginning.
